    Bhutan, the Land of Thunder Dragon, is a landlocked country in the Eastern Himalayas, bordered by China in the South, Sikkim and Chumbi Valley in West and Arunachal Pradesh in the East. The kingdom of Bhutan is undoubtedly the most aesthetic and glorious place in the world. The country is also famous as the ‘Land of Monasteries’ for the fact that Buddhism was first introduced in Bhutan in 7th century A.D, and have been well preserving its heritage admirably through years.

    Thimphu

    The capital city of Thimphu is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Bhutan. It has lush forests, astonishing sights of the mountains, and a gorgeous view of the Chuu River. Thimphu has the best mix of traditional and modern culture while still keeping its rich heritage. It has a peaceful ambiance, vibrant culture and traditions, amazing food, and breathtaking views. Travelers can visit lots of places including experiencing the conservation of culture in the living museum Simply Bhutan or the Royal Botanical Garden which is full of exotic and beautiful flora. Thimphu has many attractions to see like historical dzongs and monasteries, National Textile Museum, National Library, and so many more places.

    Phuentsholing

    Also known as the gateway of Bhutan, Phuentsholing is regarded as the place of residency of the kings and queens of the Himalayan Kingdom. It has quaint houses that are rich in culture and traditions and has a tranquil ambiance. Situated at an altitude of 300 meters Phuentsholing is a border town of Bhutan adjacent to the Indian border town Jaigaon on the Himalayan foothills. It offers a large no of places to visit including the Bhutan Gate, Ammo Chhu Crocodile Breeding Centre, Phuentsholing viewpoint, Phuentsholing market, Phuentsholingpark, and ZangtoPelri Park among many other places.

    Bumthang

    Home to beautiful mountain valleys and a serene atmosphere Bumthang is the most historic of all districts in Bhutan. Its name directly translates to “beautiful field” it is the religious heartland of the kingdom with many old monasteries and old temples. Bumthang is among the twenty districts comprising four valleys and blessed with the most beautiful views of the Ura La pass and the rhododendron forests that surround the valley at a slightly higher altitude. It has many mesmerizing attractions like Jakar Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, Mebar Tsho, The Burning Lake, Ura Valley, and many more places for tourists to visit and enjoy

    Wangdue Phodrang

    Being one of the largest districts of Bhutan Wangdue Phodrang has diverse wildlife, historical temples and monasteries, and rustic villages. This district has many diverse places from subtropical forests in the south to cold, snowy areas in the both. Being lush with flora and fauna, plants like orchids, Rhododendrons, and Blue Poppy, and rare animals like the Red Panda, snow leopard, Blue Sheep, and Black Bear can be found here. It is home to many fascinating attractions like the Jigme Singye Wangchuk National Park, Temple of Sha Radar, Phobjika valley, Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, and many more.

    Paro

    Paro is a beautiful town in the picturesque Paro valley of Bhutan surrounded by untouched nature and willow trees lining its meandering roads. This lovely town contains historic fortresses and ruins, sacred sites of monasteries, apple orchards, and scenic beauty. Paro is one of the most popular places in Bhutan and attracts tons of visitors from all around the world due to its serene beauty and peaceful environment.     Punakha

    The ancient capital of Bhutan and one of the best places to visit there, Punakha is steeped with history, spread with vibrant cultures, and sprinkled with numerous historical locations. The city is a prominent tourist destination in Bhutan due to its deep history and amazing attractions that mesmerize its visitors. Some of the amazing places in Punakha include the marvelous Punakha Dzong which is known as the palace of happiness, Chimi Lhakhang Temple, and the enthralling Dochu La Pass which was built in honor of 108 martyred Bhutanese solders. Travelers can also visit the Jigme Dorji National Park which is the second biggest national park in Bhutan and is a paradise for nature and wildlife lovers.
