Situated 28 km away from the capital city Nagarkot is a village at the edge of the Kathmandu valley. The glorious Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, Numbur, Jugal, Ganesh, Himal, Rolwaling and Everest ranges are visible from Nagarkot on a clear day. It has natural beauty, serene views, and a peaceful ambiance. It is used as a summer retreat by travelers and it is known for its tranquil nature as the chirping of birds and breeze whistling through the pines can be heard there.
Patan
The third largest city of Nepal just behind Kathmandu and Pokhra Patan is located just across the river Bagmati. Currently called Lalitpur, this city contains the Durbar Square that is full of statues, temples, and palaces, and also has the beautiful “Patan museum”. Janakpur
Janakpur is believed to be the holy place where Hindu Goddess Sita was born and got married to Lord Ram. Famously called the city of ponds due to it containing over seventy ponds scattered over its verdant landscape. Located in the Terai region of Nepal this city is the administrative headquarters of the Dhanusa district. Kathmandu
